Just heard on the local sports talk radio station that Indy Car is going to have a race on the streets of south boston during labor day weekend 2016. I didn’t know if any of you had heard this before, but I think that would be pretty cool. Considering I can walk a block to the Amtrak and take it to north station and I wouldn’t have to deal with the traffic. Any one else already want to go?

I’m way south near the RI border, but I’d LOVE to see this on the streets of Boston. Problem with a street course is the cars whip by you, you wait, then the cars whip by again, then you wait. Doesn’t make for a good show for the spectators that attend. The stuff they’re planning around it sounds great though.

Yeah, a buddy posted this a couple days ago and I shared it with my friend who lives in Philly.
We’re pumped...and I don’t even watch it. But I’m right here so I’ll have to start.

I generally don’t really watch racing, but I hope its like baseball where its just fun to be there. Might go up to Loudon for a race this year because beer makes most things better

It would, but unless we met up at a public parking garage or one of the T station parking lots, there’s no way we’d all be able to meet vehicularly. Parking in Boston is a bitch, and probably even more so if there's an Indy race going on.

F1 boston is a cart track and yeah theres no way I’d drive in when theres the amtrak a block away from my house or a commuter rail 15 minutes away

Love to go. I heard 4 years ago when things broke down with New Hampshire motor speedway indy was trying to have Boston and Providence bid for a race.
